A non-profit making voluntary charity providing a water-related search, rescue and recovery service by its members for the public good.
For funding we rely entirely on public contributions to run, renew and maintain our equipment, and pay for specialist training courses.
Our members come from all walks of life, and we will train you in all the specialist skills required - all we need is your time commitment
The Borders Water Rescue Team provides a water based search, rescue & recovery service in conjunction with the emergency services. We are a volunteer team, including Rescue3 qualified personnel who are able to assist with search and rescue of those individuals who have got into trouble in our many areas of water. In addition, we provide health and safety support for many water based community activities such as Common Riding water crossings, film sets & large scale obstacle courses.
